About Amanda

Amanda Nicole was born in Hollywood, Florida and grew up moving from city to city up until the age of eleven where her family settled in Anderson, Indiana. Throughout the hardships of moving around as a child, Amanda always turned to music. Having been put in piano and voice lessons at the age of five by her parents, Vince and Laura Smith, she has grown up around music.

            Throughout her young adult life, Amanda was in multiple vocal ensembles, show choirs, talent competitions, church choirs, and private lessons. After high school she applied and was accepted to many colleges such as Belmont University, Berklee College of Music and Columbia College Chicago. She spent her first semester at Belmont University and later transferred to Columbia, where she still attends and plans to graduate in May 2014. 

             At CCC, Amanda has had the pleasure of working and performing with many astounding artists such as, Bernard Purdie, Jim Lauderdale, Charlie Sexton, Yoshi Breen, Chris Steinmetz, Cheryl Wilson, Walter Owens, Jonathan McReynolds, Gary Yerkins, Nicholas Tremulis, Rick Barnes, Chuck Webb, Bobbi Wylson, and many more. She has had the opportunity to perform on the Steve Harvey show as well as sing at the Chicago Theater. Amanda is currently writing original music and performing around Chicago.
